Culled from the press, the different interwoven elements that make up these grey works question the information we accept as true. The series came into being at a very particular moment, rife with numerous cases of corruption that dominated the news in the country but had still not reached the courts.
This series opens up a breach and takes on the challenge of using the pencil as a critical tool. I found drawing a more agile and effective way of creating a record of key symbols. The result was a long sequence of graphite drawings featuring headless bodies in suits and ties, perfectly at ease with back-slapping and glad-handing. Producing this grisaille, as a summary of an infinite archive, made me aware of the situation and of the importance of denouncing, in real time, certain ends that should never be justified by any means.
