The enigma of painting lies beyond its boundaries: what truly matters remains at the margins. The use of off-screen elements removes the important from the scene, just as the decentralization of the subject or its disruption through deliberate cuts does, or the structuring of the scene in layers of brushstrokes that construct the form while partially covering what is seen without fully blending it. These are some of the artistic techniques employed for this purpose. Painting is an invitation to look beyond the established in order to imagine another reality, for to the extent that we are able to see the invisible, we will be able to achieve the impossible.
