The mud that engulfs everything it touches, disfiguring it and erasing all signs of identity, is the same colour that reveals the wound in people, so that neither time nor the work of reconstruction can wipe it off the map.<br \/>\nWhen the pain of others affects us, we take it on as our own, and every mark, every sign, every trace enters our body. Painting can then arise from an intimate calling that seeks to become collective.
